The census of 1850 lists children of this couple as having been born in Tennessee. He was a Justice of the Peace in Pike County in the 1820s. He is listed as the head of family in the 1816 census for Pike County, Mississippi. The Hope family lived on Bala Chitto Creek in Pike County, Mississippi. Not known for sure if she died in Pike County, Mississippi or Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. For sure, somewhere in this locale with it being on the state line of both states. Note from Tim DeBoor: The 1870 Federal Census indicates that Isabella Hope is very much alive and living with her youngest daughter Angeline Hope Dykes and her husband Jordan Dykes in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. I have not been able to find a death certificate for Isabela yet so I list the date of death as "aft 1870".
