"The LaFayette Sun" - May 17, 1916:
Red Hill (for last week) - On last Wednesday morning at 6:00 o'clock the Death Angel visited our community and took away one of our oldest and most beloved citizens Ė "Uncle" Frank Foster. "Uncle" Frank, as he was commonly called, had suffered for three or four years, but bore his sufferings with Christian fortitude, never murmuring. He was 65 years old; had been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church the greater part of his life. He was a devoted member of the church, a great lover of Old Sacred Harp songs and a devoted father and husband. He leaves, besides his faithful wife, three children, Mr. Tom Foster, Mr. Will Foster and Mrs. Leonard Belcher. The funeral services were conducted by Elder W. B. Morgan, assisted by Rev. Hiram Sims. His body was interred in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. A great congregation of relatives and friends assembled to pay their last tribute to their old friend.
