Ed Sundberg Dies Suddenly After Illness of Few Hours
Edward Sundberg died late Friday afternoon at the family home after heart failure following an attack of cerebral hemorrhage.
Death came as a great shock to the community in which he was one of the leading citizens as until within a few hours of his demise he had been in perfect health. He was taken sick about noon and suffering with severe pains in the head summoned the doctor and was believed to be getting along all right, when a sudden turn for the worse resulted in death at 5 o'clock.
Edward Sundberg was one of the best known businessmen in northern Montana, where he had been a leader in the building industry as a member of the firm of Fuglevand and Sundberg, in which he recently acquired the entire interest and was changing to Ed. Sundberg and Co. He built some of the largest buildings in Havre and constructed buildings all over northern Montana in the fifteen years he was in business here. He was also extensively engaged in farming and took an active interest in community matters.
Mr. Sundberg was born November 13, 1888, in Battle Lake, Minn., and moved to Havre in 1912. In 1922 he was married to Miss Ida Hannawalt of Grafton, N. Dak.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Ida, five brothers, Alfred, David and Hjalmer of Minnesota, William of Manitoba, Canada, and Oseo of Havre, and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Gillespie, who lives north of Havre.
