She was born Nov. 19, 1920, to Lorenzo Dow "L.D." and Lillie Susan Mahan Wallace in Hammond, Mo., and married Ocie "Short" Cole on Feb. 14, 1939, in Thornfield, Mo. Proceeding her in death were her parents; her loving husband of 70 years; sister Louise Caswell; and infant brother Hervel Wallace. Survivors include Lloyd, Dean and Ted Wallace, of Springfield; brother Bervil Wallace of Roseburg, Ore.; sister Geneva Pelham of Tacoma, Wash.; son Gary Cole and wife, Cookie, of Springfield; granddaughters Camie Cole of Springfield and Cheri and Shawn Simpkins of Lee's Summit, Mo.; and great-grandsons Landon Schuder of Springfield, and Alton and Garen Simpkins of Lee's Summit.

Elois enjoyed being with Ocie in fishing, camping and visiting with an abundance of family and friends at family activities. She especially loved spending family time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
