Returning Here for Anniversary
Rev. W. H. Palmer Ordained At First Baptist Church in 1884
"Commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the ordination of the Rev. William H. Palmer of Spencerport, N. Y., which occurred in First Baptist church July 8, 1884, will take place Sunday at the 10:30 o'clock service. Mr. Palmer was the former pastor of the First Baptist church. He will be present and will deliver the sermon topic, "Getting Acquainted with God."
"Luncheon will follow the service to members of the congregation. Mrs. Grover C. Deady will be in charge. Rev. Mr. Palmer, Rev. D.D. Wilson, and Rev. M. J. Winchester will assist the pastor, the Rev. B. Vreeland, in an informal luncheon program."
The following is from "Brown Alumni Monthly," OCTOBER/1942 Vol. XLIII, No. 3 (Brown University):
"Ralph M. Palmer's father. Rev. William H. Palmer, died at his home in Parma, N. Y., July 12, 1942, Another son is Dr. Arthur Palmer '11.
Rev. Mr. Palmer held Baptist pastorates in New York, Michigan, Rhode Island (Providence), Pennsylvania, and taught at Jackson College, Jackson, Miss., before his retirement years ago."
