Mr. Derry was a grocery store supervisor and manager for Bakers, Harolds (now No Frills) and Save More in Tekamah. He was a member of the Lions Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3304 in Tekamah, and the Eagles Club in Blair.
Mr. Derry and his wife, Patrina (Ferrarello) were married 53 years.
