HISTORY:

Henry and Ann were baptized members of the Church in 1838. In 1842 they sailed for America and settled in Nauvoo. One year later Ann died. A year after that, Henry married Nancy to help with his small children.

He was a skilled stone cutter and helped build the Nauvoo Temple. They remained in Nauvoo until they were driven out with the other saints in 1846. They lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa until 1850 when they joined a group going west.

Upon arriving in the Valley, they first went to Lehi and then west to settle in Cedar Fort in 1853. Henry was made chorister.

His talent as a stone cutter came in handy when they constructed a stone wall around the town. It was never completed because Johnston's Army came. In 1850, they moved north to Wellsville.

Henry served a short term mission to Great Britain in 1878. Nancy died while he was gone.
