Byrd Williams Hicks
Mrs. Byrd Williams Hicks, 86, died Friday, April 14, 1989, at Winona Manor after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Julie Halfacre of Winona, a sister, Mrs. Louie Elinor of Memphis, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted from the Second Baptist Church in Calhoun City at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16. This church was organized by Mrs. Hicks and her late husband, the Rev. Roscoe Hicks. The Rev. John Allen Wade officiated with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mixon and the Rev. Nolan Houston assisting. Burial was in the Calhoun City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Marvin Halfacre, Jr., James Colbert, Jr., John Osborne, Joe Hardin, Mike Hardin, and Jamie Keeton. Pryor Funeral Home of Calhoun City was in charge of arrangements.
