Mayme Ellen "Mittie" Green 1922 - 2012
Mayme Ellen "Mittie" Green passed away on Wednesday, June 27th at home of natural causes. She was born in Sept. 1922 at Ottumwa, Iowa to James and Leona Bales. The family moved to Meridian, ID when she was 1 year old. She attended Meridian schools graduating from high school in 1940. She then attended Boise Junior College. She married Glenn E. Green on July 24th 1942. She is survived by her son, Jack (Carole) Green of Boise, ID; her daughter, Barbara (Larry) Clauson of Jacksonville, OR; grandchildren: Scott and Kimberly of Medford, OR; four step-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Emma Bales. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; brother, Harold and two sisters: Gladys and Kathryn. Her Dignity and Grace will be remembered by her church and bible study friends at Meridian United Methodist Church and Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene. Also her sisters from Chapter A.D. PEO of which she was a member for 54 years. She will also be remembered by her special friends, Janet and Wayne Gearhard and her wonderful neighbors in La Playa subdivision. Those who wish may make memorials in Mittie's name to a charity of their choice . Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, July 2nd at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St. Meridian. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 3rd at Meridian Cemetery 895 E. Franklin Rd. Meridian.
