Musician. He was regarded as Australia's foremost and most recorded concert pianist. He first came to prominence at age eight when he gave a performance of Bach's Concerto in F Minor with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra which was broadcasted world wide by ABC-TV in 1962. In 1968, he became the youngest ever recipient of a Churchill Fellowship and made his debut at the Royal Albert Hall, England in 1969. For the next three decades, he toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. Among his numerous recordings for Chanos Records, is the best seller release of "Vol. 8, the complete piano works of Medtner" in 2005. He also recorded with the Berlin Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, London Symphony, Melbourne Symphony and the Russian International. Cause of death: liver disease.
