Birth: 1800, Ireland
Death: 1880
Cowansville
Armstrong County
Pennsylvania, USA

Note: HE DIED AFTER 1880...also, The ages(birth year), listed with each individual, are the ages which are listed with each of these census. The birthplace of William and Fanny are also in question, although I believe they were both born in Ireland. There are obvious discrepancies with each of these census enumerations and that is a perfect example why the census should be taken lightly in any genealogy enumeration... Usually accurate or at least in the ball park, but often in error.

IAW 1850 U.S. Census, for Sugar Creek Township, Armstrong County, PA,he was age 50, born in Ireland, in 1800 and was engaged in farming. He was married to Fannie, age 40, also born in Ireland and was father to the following children: James, born 1833; William, born 1835; John, born 1837; Charles, born 1839; Fanny A., born 1841 (This may be Mary Ann...see 1860); Rebecca, born 1843; Margaret J., born 1846; Crawford, born 1847 and Susan, born 1849.

IAW 1860 U.S. Census, for Sugar Creek Township, Armstrong County, PA, he was engaged in Farming and he was born in Ireland, was 50 years old, married to Fannie, who was born in Pennsylvania and was 50 years old. He was the Father of Jame and William, both listed as age 27, thereby born 1833; John, born 1837; Charles, born 1839; Mary Ann, born 1842; Rebecca, born 1843; Margaret, born 1844; Crawford, born 1847 and Chambers McClay, born 1853.

IAW 1870 U.S. Census, he was engaged in Farming, and he was born in Ireland. He is listed as 69 years old (Born 1801) married to Fannie, age 60, born 1810, in Pennsylvania and has Crawford, born 1847; Margaret, born 1849(???) and Chambers, born 1851, (???) living with them.

IAW 1880 U.S. Census for Sugar Creek Township, Armstrong County, PA, he was born in Ireland, in 1800, as were both of his parents. He was married to Fannie, also born in Ireland, in 1808, as were both of her parents. There is a discrepancy between the birthdate of him and his wife, on this cenesus and the 1860 census... He is 80 years old here and 60 in 1860. This cenesus has his birthdate as 1800 and the 1860 census has it as 1810. Fannie is 50 with the 1860 census and 72 with this 1880 census. Therefore she is born in 1810 according to the 1860 census and born in 1808 with this census. In addition, Fannie and her parents are listed as born in Ireland in 1880 and she is born in Pennsylvania IAW 1860. (Hummmmmmmm???) Also, in 1880, he has 6 year old Cora M. Jenkins, listed as his Grand Daughter living with them.
