David Hatch Woodland

Oct. 12, 1925 - Aug. 14, 2005
Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather

David spent the last 32 years in Concord, CA with his wife of 56 years, Lou, near his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Phil McClelland of Concord, his son and daughter-in-law, David and Satu Woodland of Danville, and 9 grandchildren: Crystan, Adam, Chalisse, Anneli, Daniela, Zack, David, Matthew, and Josh, all living in the area. He is also survived by 2 sisters living in Southern California.

David was born in Malad, Idaho in 1925, graduated from Utah State University in Logan, UT, after serving in the Navy during WWII. He began his career as a National Bank Examiner with the Treasury Dpt. in SLC, UT, transferring to Southern California, and finishing up 30 years later in the San Francisco Region. Upon retirement, as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served a mission in Kirtland, OH with his treasured wife. He also enjoyed travel, golf, and being there for his family, friends and church.

Granddaughter Daniela Woodland gives this tribute to her grandparents, "All of my life Grammy and Grampy have been an unfailing example of the kind of love that never dims. That love has changed all of us, as love has the tendency to do." We all echo this with love to you, Grampy dear.
