Max Hollomon, 83, died October 22, 1998, in his home. He was born September 20, 1915, the son of late Clara Belle Johnson and Lemuel Harris Hollomon.
He was united in marriage on June 20, 1941, in Caruthersville, to Nadine Dodd.
Max farmed with his father and later extensively on his own for over 50 years. He also served as a member of the New Madrid County School Board and was an avid hunter and fisherman in his earlier years.
Survivors include the following: his wife, Nadine Hollomon of Portageville; his sons, Michael Ryan Hollomon of Alexandria, Va., and Joe Max Hollomon of Madison, Miss.; his daughter, Suzanne Long of Woodridge, Ill.; two sisters, Christine Travis of Blytheville, Ark., and Kathleen Alford of Micola, Mo., and 9 grandchildren, and many, many friends.
Services were held October 24, 1998, at 11:00 a.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mark Inman officiated. Burial was in Portageville Cemetery.
