It is told that Bernard Henry (aka Barney)Siebeneck first came to America in 1835. He stayed for one yr and returned to Ostbevern where he married his FIRST wife, Anna Maria Gertrude Grosse Inkrott on Aug 23, 1836. Soon after their marriage they returned to America and settled in Greensburg Twp., Putnam Co, OH as farmers. St. John's church records show that Gertrude died here on Oct. 7, 1846 leaving him with three young children. He then married Catherine Maehlman in St. John's church (also noted in church record) on Nov. 25, 1847.
