Harry E Logan, a well known and industrious citizen of DuBois for the past 53 years, passed away at his home, 432 Juniata street at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, following a short illness as the result of pneumonia. As a former chief of police of DuBois and a harness maker for many years, Mr Logan was generally known throughout the community and a large circle of friends will regret to learn of his death. The deceased was born in Armstrong County on July 15, 1869, and came to DuBois in 1891, going to work at the J. E DuBois lumber camp. Later he was elected chief of police, and still later opened a harness shop that he conducted for many years until he retired in 1925. Mr Logan was a member of the Odd Fellows, and of the Protected Home Circle. Mr and Mrs Logan celebrated their golden anniversary on December 24, 1941.
