Marshall Sellers

SHAW -- Marshall Francis (Joe) Sellers, 56, a maintenance employee of the town of Shaw and a retired farmer, died early Friday of a heart attack at his home here.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Home in Cleveland with Rev. Albert Breazeale, pastor of Shaw Baptist Church, presiding. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery.

Mr. Sellers was born in Magee, and had lived in Shaw since 1929. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army in France for three years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Dean Sellers of Shaw; six sons, Hilburn Roy Sellers of Heidelberg and Joe Glen Sellers, David Sellers, Michael Sellers, Jerry Sellers, and Raymond Sellers, all of Shaw; and a daughter, Barbara Joyce Sellers, of Shaw.

Other survivors include four brothers, Gattis Sellers of Greenville, Sheldon Sellers of Taylorsville, and Felton Sellers and Marvin Sellers, both of Shaw; five sisters, Mrs. Virgie Robinson and Mrs. Marjorie May, both of Jackson, Mrs. Mattie Copenhagen of Hutchinson, Kan., Mrs. Birdie Armstrong and Mrs. Louise Walters, both of Shaw; and two grand-daughters.
