Funeral services for the late M. T. Pratt, resident engineer here for the Santa Fe railroad, were conducted yesterday afternoon at the City cemetery by Rev. E. C. Seaman of Christ Episcopal church, interment following.
The funeral cortege met the funeral car with the remains at the undertaking establishment of Capt. T. C Wright promptly at 4 o'clock, proceeding thence to the cemetery.
The pallbearers selected from the railroad associates of the decedent were as follows: Messrs. Temple, Felt, (Galveston), Granger, Menafee and Boyers. From out of the city were present Mrs. Pratt's parents, Capt. and Mrs. William Wilson of Lometa, Mrs. Burford and daughter and son, Frank of Belton.
The services at the grave consisted of the ritual for the dead of the Episcopal church, a hymn, a brief address by Rev. Mr. Seaman and the benediction – all making for a beautiful, comforting ceremony.
The attendance was large of the friends of the decedent and the bereaved ones; and numerous floral offerings were exquisite in design.

Inscription

They who have kept their spirits virgin whiteness undimned by folly and unstained by sin and made their foreheads radiant with the brightness of the pure truth whose temple is within, THEY SHALL SEE GOD.
