COLCHESTER -- Flossie A. Sanner, 90, formerly of Macomb and Bethany, died at 5:52 p.m. Monday, May 5, 1997, at Argyle Lake Nursing Center.

Born Dec. 15, 1906, in Moultrie County to Calvin and Clara Garver Davis, she married Orville Jay Sanner on July 20, 1924, in Moultrie County. He died April 26, 1973. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Garold Sanner and Jay Junior Sanner, one grandson, three brothers and one sister.

Surviving are one son, Bill of Macomb; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Freida Vandeveer of Arcola and Trixie Shonk of Bethany.

She moved to Macomb in 1970. She was a farm wife for many years and later was employed by the Masonic Home in Sullivan. She then worked for Flash Photo in Macomb for several years before she retired. She was a member of First Christian Church in Bethany for many years.
