Deceased Name: CHARLES CONATY, 72 UXBRIDGE - Charles G. Conaty, 72, of Providence Care Facility, 119 Providence St., Worcester, formerly of 59 Elm St., North Uxbridge, a retired draftsman, died yesterday in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves two sisters, Eleanor C. Sullivan of Leicester and Mary M. Bollinger of Towson, Md.; three nephews; and a niece. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles F. and Mary J. (Driscoll) Conaty, and lived many years in North Uxbridge before returning to Worcester.
Mr. Conaty was a draftsman at Felters Co. in Millbury for many years before he retired.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Good Shepherd Church in Linwood and Uxbridge Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester. There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
