Funeral services for William F. Petersen, 72, a life-long resident of New Holstein, who passed away early last Friday morning in the town of Stockbridge following a brief illness, were held Sunday at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral home in New Holstein. The Rev. John Siedler of St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed church officiated and interment was made in the New Holstein cemetery.

The deceased was born Sept. 5, 1874 in New Holstein, and married Miss Bertha Zarmsdorf on March 12, 1902. The couple operated a boarding house in that city until two years ago.

Since the death of his wife on Jan. 5, 1947, Mr. Petersen made his home in the town of Stockbridge.

Only immediate survivor is a brother, Henry of Vesper. One child, Reuben died April 16, 1946.
