EARLE W. PETTINGER SR.
Earle W. Pettinger, Sr., 91, of Lucas, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1993 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past few months. He was born Jan. 17, 1902 in Adair County, Iowa.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Estaleene of Indianola; three sons, Earle Jr. of Des Moines; Dale of Derby; and Eugene of Ottumwa; two daughters, Shirley Dunston of Des Moines and Jacqueline Drottz of Ankeny; three brothers, Christopher of Portland, Ore.; Robert of Chariton and Lloyd of Brookings, Ore.; two sisters, Katheryn Bryant of Des Moines and Athyl Hunerdosse of Des Moines; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and nine great-step-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, December 7, 1993 at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Silas Anderson conducting and burial was in the Norwood Cemetery.
