Charlotte Gayle Walden was born Sunday, November 13, 1949 in Morgan County, Alabama, to Cecil Waltham Walden and Maurine Mulligan Walden.

Charlotte was the granddaughter of Richard Ellis Walden and Lillie Maybelle Cowart Walden; and William "Bill" Jasper Mullican and Ola Beatrice Rose Mullican.

She died one week before her second birthday.

Rites Thursday For Walden Child

Rites were held this Thursday for little Charlotte Gayle Walden, one month and eleven day old daughter of C. W. and Mary Walden of Decatur 3. Charlotte Gayle passed away Tuesday at Decatur General Hospital, and services were held at Johnson Chapel with interment following in the adjoining cemetery, under direction of Peck.

The deceased is survived by her parents; two sisters, Mary and Etheline Walden; two brothers, Cecil Jr, and Ellis Walden, all of Decatur 3; and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Mulligan, of Decatur 3 and Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Walden, Decatur 3.

Conducting the services was the Rev. Floyd Parker. Pallbearers were: Wayne McCullough, Billy Gene Smith, Billy Jackson and Garland McCullough.
