BLOOMINGTON --Oliver Bake Piggott, 85, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Hillcrest Haven Convalescent Center in Pocatello, Idaho.


He was born December 2, 1920 in Bloomington, Idaho to William Cannon and Hazel Rebecca Madsen Piggott. Oliver enlisted in the Army Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1943. He worked as a farmer, farmhand and at other odd jobs, helping anyone who needed his help. He enjoyed occasional hunting and fishing and caring for his cows. He worked many years for Hulme Dunford on his ranch. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.


Oliver is survived by a brother, David (Phyllis) Piggott of Bountiful, Utah, and a sister, Rebecca (Everett) Gardiner of Kearns, Utah, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Madsen (Matt) and Thomas (Tom).


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, at 1 p.m. in the Paris Stake Center, where friends may visit with family that day from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of Montpelier.
