Hugo G. "Junior" Trilling, 86, former proprietor of Trilling Hardware, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, in Verona, Wisconsin. For the past two weeks he had resided there with his son, Peter Trilling and family. He formerly resided at Pine Haven Christian Home.
Hugo was born July 19, 1923 in Sheboygan to Hugo and Charlotte (Corson) Trilling.
On August 2, 1952 Hugo was united in marriage to Carol Klein at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. Carol preceded Hugo in death on December 17, 2001.
Hugo's entire working life was at the family owned and operated store, Trilling's Hardware Co. He was president of the corporation until his retirement in April of 1995.
Mr. Trilling was a long time member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish and was currently a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Sheboygan Knights of Columbus, Sheboygan Rotary Club, and the National Retail Hardware Association.
Survivors include seven sons, Peter (Deanna) Trilling, Anthony (Kim) Trilling, John Trilling, Joseph (Justine) Trilling, Richard (Robyn) Trilling, Paul (Kendra) Trilling and Andrew (Jennifer) Trilling; six daughters, Mary Ann (David) Thielke, Margaret (Charles) Wiroll, Therese (Brian) Timreck, Martha Mittelstaedt, Anna (Andy) Bennin and Sarah (Todd) Kopetsky; twenty nine grandchildren; a great-grandson, Dominic Timreck.
In addition to his wife, Carol, Hugo was preceded in death by a daughter, Clare; a grandson, Nicholas Wacha; and two brothers, Frederick and Joseph Trilling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday,at Holy Name Catholic Church by Rev. Robert J. Lotz. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
