Evaline was the daughter of James Huff and Arminda Miller Huff. She married William Abner Tipton Davis August 24, 1897 in Wise County, Texas. They became the parents of seven children; Mary Armenda Davis, Howell Patrick Davis, William Hoyt Davis, Homer (Jack) Davis, Hosey Straw Davis, Ivy Pearl Davis and Harold Sheik Davis. (Ivy Pearl died as an infant)

I don't know how long, but Grandma Davis was blind a good portion of her adult life. It is said that she went to bed one night with a severe headache and woke up blind the next morning. Doctors said that apparently her optic nerve died.
