Andy W. Allison, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Allison, was born in Jefferson county, Fairfield, Iowa July 4, 1852 and died at his home in Mt. Etna, February 2, 1936 aged 82 years, 8 months and 20 days. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Allison.
At an early age his parents moved to Pennsylvania and in 18__ they came to Adams county where he resided to Adams county where he resided with his parents until his marriage to Olive Farrier in 1___. Four children came to bless this union: Leona, Wilfae, Beryl, and Ray, all of whom reside at home except Beryl who died at the age of three. He leaves to sorrow his widow, three children and one grandson, Kenneth Leon; also three brothers: William of Prescott, Jim and Abe of Mt. Etna. Besides several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home at 2:30. Mrs. Ida Roberts, of Kent, conducted the services. Interment was made in the Mt. Etna cemetery. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Ira Allison of Creston, Wilbur Allison of Omaha, Mrs. Beulah Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Devore of Prescott, Mr. and Mrs. Bill M. Vay of Greenfield and William Allison of Prescott.
