He was deployed with the UK contingent of NATO forces in Afghanistan.
Cpl Scott was killed by an explosion while taking part in Operation Panther's Claw, north of Nad-e-Ali, Helmand province.
Aged 26, he was born in Ely and grew up in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. He was described as a "highly experienced combat soldier" who died while leading his section of Viking vehicles from the front. He is survived by wife Nicola (Nikki) Scott, children Kai and Brooke, parents and siblings.
The funeral took place with full military honours on July 28, 2009 at St Faith's Church, Gaywood, with a private burial at Gayton Road Cemetery.
