Mrs. Oma Shreve, 77, of McComb, died at 7:15 p.m. yesterday at the Hancock County Home where she had been a patient for three years. She was a retired bookkeeper and had been a cook at the McComb High School.
Born Jan 25, 1891, in Blanchard Township, she was the daughter of Herman and Mary (Smith) Kuhlman and lived most of her life in the McComb area.
She was married to Orva Shreve on Jan. 24, 1923, and he died on Nov. 20, 1941. She is survived by a son, Gage Gene Shreve, McComb, and a brother, John Kuhlman, Mount Cory.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Alfred, and sisters, Mrs. Anna Dick, Mrs. Doria Shafer, Mrs. Ella Carter, Mrs. Esther Gallagher, Mrs. Marie Wentz, and Christina Kuhlman.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hartley Funeral Home with Dr. W. E. Bradley officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
