MARSHALL, Ted Henry, 90, of the Celco Heights community near Narrows died Sunday morning August 10, 2003 at his home in the loving care of his family. Born in Nemours in Mercer County, W.Va. on July 1, 1913, he was a son of the late Henry Melbourne and Levada Sutphin Marshall. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in WW II and was retired from the Celanese Celco plant as a locomotive operator, and attended the First Church of God in Rich Creek. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eula Mae Marshall Patton; three sisters, Winters Sarver, Dovie Boswell and June Marshall; four brothers, Marchie Marshall, Hyman Marshall, Levi Marshall, Robey Marshall and a step-daughter, Winters Shinall. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Nona Frye Link Marshall; a daughter, Henrietta Denise Marshall of Narrows; a son and his wife, Curtis and Dona Link of Chesterfield; a daughter and her husband, Lilly and Bub Ganoe of Chesterfield; two brothers, Ancel V. Marshall of Pearisburg and Sam J. Marshall of Narrows; a sister, Olivia M. Kendall of Pembroke; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow Street in Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside military rites will be rendered by the American Legion Posts of Pembroke and Narrows and the VFW Post at Narrows.
