She was born Nov. 27, 1918, in St. Louis, to Vincent Paul and Georgia L. Turley Ward. She graduated from a cosmetology school. She was a storekeeper for the Navy during World War II.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society at the church, Daughters of Isabella and the Spaulding Club.
She married William E. Chinal April 28, 1946, in St. Louis. He died Jan. 18, 1995.
Survivors include a son, Ward Chinal, address unavailable; a daughter, Gayla Copple, Topeka; and six grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Chinal will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
