SENECA--Rose A. Henry, 98, Seneca, died here Sunday, May 31, 1998, at a care home where she had been since March 17, 1993.
She was born June 14, 1899, near the Kampler Railroad Switch south of Seneca to Herman and Elizaeth Krogman Vondemkamp. She attended rural schools and Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Seneca. She worked at the Kampler Railroad Switch General store. She later lived south of Axtell. She was a seamstress many years.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca where she was in charge of the Quilting Group many years. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society at the church and Loyal Christian Benevolent Ass'n.
She was married to Anthony T. "Tony" Henry Nov. 18, 1919, in Axtell. They lived south of Seneca before they moved into Seneca in 1946. He died Aug. 3, 1984.
Survivors include sons: Lin Henry, Sabetha, Eugene Henry, Indep. Mo., Paul Henry, Seneca, and William Henry, Wylie, Texas; daughters, Dorothy Olberding and Leta Tangeman, both in Seneca, and Joan Klier, Ocala, Fla.; sisters Ann Mulcahy, Omaha, and Martha Braden, Louisburg; 30 grandchildren and 55 geat-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a m. Tuesday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
