PRINCEVILLE -- John W. Begner, 91, of 11500 W. Streitmatter Road died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 1997 at his residence.
Born Dec. 11, 1905, in rural Princeville to William and Marie Mangold Begner, he married Thelma M. Barrett in 1948 [Aug 11] in Springfield. She survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Edwin F. of Princeville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers.
He farmed in rural Princeville for many years and was a machine operator for Princeville Canning Co. until he retired.
Private family graveside services will be Monday in Jubilee Cemetery in rural Brimfield. There will be no visitation. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville is in charge of arrangements.
