Mary Chenery (q.v. Chinery), dau. of Lambert Chenery and Tamasin Hewes, purportedly b. Dec. 24, 1659 at Dedham, Mass. Whereas no record of her birth appears in the Dedham VRs, she was bapt. at the Dedham 1st Chh. on Jan. 29, 1659/60. She d. of record Apr. 2, 1719 [Dorchester, Mass. VRs]. Until 1692 Milton was the former southeast portion of the Town of Dorchester in adjoining Suffolk County, Mass.
On Oct. 11, 1680 at Braintree, Mass. [Braintree VRs], Mary m. Robert Field, Jr., s. of Boston immigrant Robert Field, the tailor, and his wife Mary, b. of record Sept. 11, 1653 at Boston. He d. Sept. 2, 1719 [Dorchester, Mass. VRs]. Both Mary and husband Robert are interred at Milton, Mass. They had at least nine children identified by the Braintree town and church records, Dorchester town and Milton church records: Mary (d.y.), Mary (Field) Badcock, Robert, Joseph (d.y.), twins David and Jonathan (both d.y.), Benjamin, Samuel (d.y.), and Elizabeth.

However, the recorded year of Mary's death in the Dorchester, Mass. vital records is 1719, not 1799 as transcribed from her gravestone. She obviously did not die 139-1/2 years after her recorded baptism.
