He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Bernadette Sanchez; grandparents who adopted and raised Miguel, Fred and Felecita Valdez. He loved music and was an accomplished guitar player. He adored and loved his mother Felecita who passed away two days before him. He is survived by his brother, Jay Sanchez of El Llano; sister, Valerie Salazar of San Jose, CA; sister and Godmother, Lana Garcia of Velarde; close cousins, Derek and Andrew Salazar, Anthony Solarez, Bernadette Salazar, Monique Dominguez and Rhonda Moya; grandfather and Godfather, Leonard Salazar of Velarde; Numerous other relatives and friends. The family of Miguel Ben Valdez has entrusted his cremation arrangements to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
