GEORGE HESLOP, AGED 75, DIES
Pioneer West Weber Man Came Here in 1855

George Heslop, Utah pioneer, aged 75, died at his home in West Weber at his morning at 7:05 o'clock. He was born in Liverpool, England, February 19, 1855, and his parents brought him to Utah in September of the dame year. He father died and he was raised during his childhood by his stepfather, John Newey. He was married to Cynthia Green on November 1, 1880, in Salt Lake. Mr. Heslop was active in church and civic affairs of the community in which he lived. He had been a director in the Hooper Irrigating company, a member of the school board of West Weber and an ardent worker in the L.D.S. church.

SURVIVORS
He is survived by the widow and the following sons and daughters: Bishop George A. Heslop, John A Heslop, Jesse H. Heslop, Frank Heslop, Herbert S. Heslop, all of West Weber; Mrs. Hyrum Peterson, Taylor; William and Charles L. Heslop, of Plain City; Edward T. Heslop of Tremonton, and Austin Heslop of Ogden. Forty grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: John, James, Henry and Thomas Newey and Mrs. William McDonald, all of Ogden and Mrs. James Nelson of Taylor.
Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the West Weber chapel with Counselor David Hancock presiding. The body may be viewed at the home Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday until hour of service. Interment will be made in the Ogden city cemetery under the direction of the Intermountain mortuary.
