Abram Vaughn, 82, highly respected farmer and stone mason of the 10th district of Overton County, died at his home near Allred suddenly of paralysis on Sunday, June 23 at 10 p.m.
He was twice married and is survived by the second wife, Mrs. Florence Tayes Vaughn, and ten children as follows: eight sons; Oren, Hardy, William and Arthur Vaughn of Overton County; Walton and Rindon Vaughn of Murfreesboro; Elbert Vaughn of Cowan; Albert Vaughn of Oneida; and two daughters, Mrs. Sallie Stout of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs Lillie Cantrell of Overton County; and one brother, Darr Vaughn of Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev E M Smith of the Baptist church at Falling Springs, with burial in the cemetery there.
