Glen Harless Garrett, age 94, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2013 at Asbury Place of Maryville. He was preceded by his wife of 47 years, Reba Mae Garrett; parents, Tom and Lula Mae Garrett; brothers, Marley Garrett, Charlie Garrett, Ollie Garrett, and Luther Garrett; sisters, Mallie Burchfield, Alley Jones, and Helen Burchfield; son, Avery Garrett; step-son, Lee Morton; and step-daughter, Joan Morton. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Mae Garrett; daughters, Brenda Espinosa and Mary Johnson; step-son, Howard Morton; son-in-law, Cecil Willis; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Shirley Garrett and Grayson and Joyce Garrett; sisters, Grace Allmon and Lena Allmon; brother, Clifford Garrett; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Justin and Mary Jo McCulloch, Bill Willocks, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Huffstetler. A special thanks to the nursing staff of Blount Memorial Hospital and Asbury Place of Maryville for taking care of our Dad. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, February 4, 2013 at Miller Funeral Home, Cedar Chapel, Rev. Jerry Little and Rev. Darrell Croft officiating. The interment will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
