Funeral Services For War Victim Set For Saturday
Pvt. John M. Hollingsworth, who was killed in action at St Lo, France in June 1944, will be returned to his native soil for burial this weekend. The body will arrive in Ocean Springs this morning, Friday, and funeral services will be conducted from the residence of Mrs. Sadie Steed at Vancleave Friday at 2 pm with interment in Graham cemetery.
He will be buried with full military honors.
Pvt. Hollingsworth, who was 19 years old when he was killed, was born in Pascagoula but at the time he entered the service he was residing in Louisiana.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Hollingsworth of Pride, LA.; three brothers, James S., William B., Jr., and Warren W. Hollingsworth, all of the U.S. Army; and one sister, Aubrey Louise Hollingsworth of Pride.
Fails Funeral Home of Pascagoula will be in Charge.
