About 1862 R.W. Chapman was appointed guardian of Robert H. Davis. Robert's parents were John L. Davis and Elizabeth Rogers. John died in 1852 Elizabeth died in 1862. I am wondering why guardianship was given to R.W. Chapman. I believe it may have something to do with the identity of R.W.'s first wife...that perhaps she was related to Elizabeth Rogers-Davis.
