KITTS, REVEREND JOHN WALKER - a good and faithful servant to the Lord, was welcomed to his mansion in Heaven on Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Walker would have celebrated his 99th birthday on April 27 of this year and he credited his extended years to his life-long walk with Christ. Walker was a Scottish Rite Mason for seventy years. He served as pastor to several local churches throughout his life and served as Sunday School Teacher at Milan Baptist Church until this past year. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. A.L. and Lucy Kitts, wife, Vontella Kitts, infant son, John Walker Kitts, son Glenn Kitts, four brothers, four sisters and great great grandson, Devon Oakley. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Dorothy Rose; dear friend and companion, Minnie Henson; two sisters, Dorothy Keck and Estelle Smith; four grandsons, Steve (Terri) Rose, Stacy (Sandra) Kitts, Wally (Leigh Ann) Kitts and Travis (Deidra) Kitts; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of beloved neighbors and friends. Funeral service, 8:00 p.m., Friday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain City, Rev. Elbert Kitts, officiating.
