ITMANN -- Ola Acord, 81, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, in a Charleston hospital following a short illness.
Born Oct. 13, 1923, at McComas, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Etta Westmoreland Kade.
Mrs. Acord was a homemaker, a 40-year resident of Itmann and a former employee of the Wyoming County Board of Education, where she was a school cook, having spent most of her career at Mullens Elementary School. She attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mullens. In her leisure, she enjoyed spending time and making coffee at the Itmann Council on Aging.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Acord; a brother, Paul Kade; and several other brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Russell and her husband, Tom, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Debbie Gautier of Corinne; two sisters, Charlotte Ciamaricone and Dot Espisoto of Delaware; two brothers, Donald Kade and Clarence Kade, both of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Jay Gautier and his wife, Mary, of Mullens, Jeremy Gautier and his wife, Wynetta, of New Richmond, Jason Gautier and his wife, Julie, of Crab Orchard, Jessica Russell of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Rochelle Ryans of Rossville, Ga.; and six great-grandchildren.
Service will be noon Wednesday at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mullens, with the Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
