Kathleen (Blum) Barie, 64, of Burlington, former Bristol resident and wife of Joseph "Ron" A. Barie Sr., died on Wednesday (July 22, 2009) at Avon Health Care Center.
Kathleen was born in Bristol on April 20, 1945 and was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Wanda (Westfall) Blum.
She resided in Bristol and graduated from Bristol schools before moving to Burlington 45 years ago. She was employed at Friendly's Restaurant for 32 years and was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Bristol.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, Kathleen is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. Barie Jr. and Cheli Barie of Mystic; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Marie and Mark Woodcox of Burlington; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Dorothy Blum of Southington; four grandchildren, Eric and Sean Woodcox, R.J. Comerford, and Jack Barie; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Bristol.
Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.
