STACYVILLE, IOWA — William Anthony Schrandt, 66, died at his home after a five months' illness.

He was born March 5, 1878, in Military township, Winneshiek County, Iowa, about two miles east of Festina. At the age of 18 he became secretary of the Farmers Cooperative Creamery at Festina.

On May 3, 1904, he married Julia W. Moser. In the spring of 1914 they moved to Stacyville and settled on a farm near here. A year later he was appointed secretary of the Stacyville Creamery, a position he held 28 years. They moved to town in 1936 and devoted his full time to creamery work; retiring in August, 1943.

He leaves widow; ten children: Mrs. Laurence Pitzen and Lawrence, Beloit, Wisconsin; Leander, West Bend; Edwin, at home; Mike, Rockford; Mrs. Art Klapperich, Stacyville; Wilfred, in the U.S. Army somewhere in Italy; Mrs. Carl Anderson, Rose Creek, Minnesota; Mrs. Clem Theobold, Stacyville, and Robert, in the navy at Davenport.

Funeral here Wednesday.
