OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - March 20, 1941
Mrs. Christine Laudenbarger died in the Wabash County hospital at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. She suffered a fall Sunday evening from which she never recovered. Mrs. Laudenbarger made her home with a nephew, Clarence Schlemmer, on Manchester avenue.
Mrs. Laudenbarger had lived in this community nearly all her life. She was born to Henry and Julia Geible, near Urbana. She was married to Philip Laudenbarger who preceded her in death 20 years age. Mrs. Laudenberger was nearing her eighty-sixth birthday.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Those near Wabash are George Schlemmer, Ed Schlemmer, Jake Schlemmer, all of Wabash, Rev. Charles Schlemmer, Van Wert, O., Mrs. Loren Speicher of North Manchester, Paul Schlemmer, Warsaw, Harry Geible, Knox, Ind., Mrs. Homer Owen, Chicago, Mrs. Lawrence Puttnam, Chicago, and Mrs. Orville Alexander, Huntington.
The body was taken to the Hoover Funeral home, but will be returned to the Clarence Schlemmer residence Wednesday evening where friends may call. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Evangelical church of which Mrs. Laudenberger was a member. Rev. Elmer F. Smith will officiate, assisted by Rev. Charles Schlemmer. #Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
Mrs. Laudenbarger was a well-known resident of Wabash. She was president of the ladies Aid society of the First Evangelical church for 28 years.
