Ruelle Marie LaCrone, 41, formerly of Topeka, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at a Topeka hospital. Cause of death has not been determined.

Ms. LaCrone was a registered nurse. She had worked for the former Internal Medicine P.A. in Topeka, and then for the Red Bird, Ky., Mission. She returned to Topeka and had worked in various nursing home, for Project Hope and for the Stormont-Vail Hospice.

She was born May 17, 1958, in Topeka, the daughter of Richard and Florence Grabowski LaCrone. She graduated from Highland Park High School in Topeka in 1976, and she attended the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in San Antonio, Texas. She became an RN in 1983. She had made her home in Meriden before her death.

Ms. LaCrone was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka.

Survivors include a daughter, Amber Ruelle Faz-LaCrone, Meriden; three brothers, Jeff LaCrone and Phil LaCrone, both of Topeka, and Jim LaCrone, Hoyt; a sister, Renelda Connell, Hoyt; her parents, Richard and Florence Lacrone, Meriden; and her grandmother, Elizabeth Shultz, Topeka.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka.

Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.

Ms. LaCrone will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home where relatives and friends will meet from 2 to 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Amber Ruelle Faz-LaCrone Education Fund or to the Topeka Rescue Mission, and sent in care of the funeral home.
