He was the son of Frederic P and Eva R Prevot, and he attended the University of Connecticut.
Prevot was the navigator on B-24M #44-50389, assigned to the 10th Air Force, 7th Bombardment Group, 493rd Bombardment Squadron. They were returning to their base at Pandaveswar India from a bombing mission against Ban Takll Siam when contact was lost. It is believed the aircraft crashed into the Bay of Bengal near Akyab Burma.
He received the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
Prevot is also memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing in the Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines.
Note that June 29, 1946 is the date that the Army officially declared him dead. The aircraft was lost on June 28, 1945.
