Dave was born April 4, 1945, in New Hampton, IA, to Floyd H. and Mary J. (Schlindwein) Fliger. He was a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Shawnee, KS. Dave was a Veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Bangkok, Thailand. He earned his bachelor's degrees in biology and chemistry from St. Benedict College, Atchison, KS, and bachelor's degree in computer science from UMKC. Dave was employed with Roger's Lures in Liberty, MO. He was a member of the Platte Co. Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and the Knights of Columbus.
Dave was preceded in death by his father; two sisters, Mary Jane and Barbara Anne; and nephew Jackson Robert Wade. Survivors include his mother, Mary J. Fliger, Sunrise Beach, MO; son, David (Diana) Fliger, Gilbert, AZ; two daughters, Patricia Taylor and Ashley Nichole Fliger; three sisters, Jane B, Kansas City, MO, Kathleen (Jeff) Wade, Olathe, KS, Carolyn Fliger, Raytown, MO; brother, Thomas (Teresa) Fliger, Basehor, KS; four grandsons; five nieces; five nephews; and a community of loving friends.
