Eleanor Gardner went to bed the night of June 13th, 2002 in her home at Prescott, Ogemaw County, Michigan never to awaken again. Her husband Earl found her in her bed the next morning; she had died while asleep during the early morning hours of June 14th. According to her family, there was no obituary printed in any newspaper. She was cremated and her ashes were returned to Earl shortly thereafter. Her ashes were scattered by her children throughout her flower garden that she was always so proud of growing.
She was survived by her husband Earl and three children from previous marriages, Patricia (Porter) Morrissett, Vernon Carl "Buddy" Porter, Jr. and Raymond "Butch" Burt, Jr.
