RELATIVE OF HARRISONS BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL
The remains of Jess F. Harrison, a former Henry resident, who passed away at Wichita, Kansas, July 23rd., was brought here for burial on Wednesday.
Jesse F. Harrison, son of James and Susan Harrison, was born in Princeville, Ill., January 28, 1856, and died at Wichita, Kansas, July 23, 1923. He was the last of a family of eleven children.
He moved to this city when a young man and attended the Henry schools. In 1877 he was united in marriage to Ida Christy. To this union two children were born, Roy and Susie.
He moved to Vilas, Colorado, in 1892, which was his residence at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Masonic and IOOF lodges.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. O.H. Trueblood of Kansas City, MO.
Services were held at the M.E. church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Rev. W.J. Carpenter officiating.
Mesdames Elmer and Lawrence Hart sang a number of appropriate hymns.
The pall bearers were John Febring, Frank Yanochowski, Henry Bell, William Heinrich, Judson Omg, and Charles Helmandollar.
