Augie Donatelli of St Petersburg FL, passed away in May 1990. He served in the 8th Air Force during World War II as tail gunner on a B-17 bomber, and was a prisoner of war at Stalag VI and IV. He umpired POW softball games while a POW, and after liberation became a professional umpire. He was a major league umpire for 23 years, umpiring five World Series and several All-Star games. He was a member of AXPOW.
